sunset over monorey bay CA
IMHO this is probably the most significant event of the year, and while there is much information about it online, I'll share mine as well
tonight will be the longest night of the year and yet man kind has celebrated it in different cultures form the very beginning of time.
in the classic battle of light against darkness as of tomorrow the light will gradually prevail and each day will be a little longer

find myself very attracted in exploring these new ways of manipulating/enhancement to the images, as they have a spiritual taste to them.
also so far haven't decided what to call the set; perhaps "the book of aether"
model is Monica

Not Christian or Jew or Muslim, not Hindu
Buddhist, sufi, or zen. Not any religion
or cultural system. I am not from the East
or the West, not out of the ocean or up
from the ground, not natural or ethereal, not
composed of elements at all. I do not exist,
am not an entity in this world or in the next,
did not descend from Adam and Eve or any
origin story. My place is placeless, a trace
of the traceless. Neither body or soul.
I belong to the beloved, have seen the two
worlds as one and that one call to and know,
first, last, outer, inner, only that
breath breathing human being.
I do not know who's translation this. but for a first time an English translation of his poem sound very close to its original Farsi

this one is related to "...and deliverance"
model is Model Odette
~ a personal note
I like to express my appreciation to these beautiful models; in this very hard market they come from far away places to make these images possible. they come with kindness and with open heart.
for a day or so they let go of all daily mind occupations just to make a vision that hopefully will last for a long time
I'm so honored and I thank you and again and again
love and respect

for sometimes now I've been thinking the erotic images need to express the energy and vibration of the act rather than showing it.
so I was very lucky to have the beautiful Penthouse model Sophia Jade pose for me ;)
these are some smples of this expression

The train shifts in the night
Full of rhythm and noise
shuffling to be heard amongst the tracks
A bird collapses on the fringe
Restless and broken by the moons rustic gaze
Wings flogged by the midnight air
Tempered by the dusty sparks of fire
Emerging from the surface of the heart
Shaped to life by the humming of the wind
once in a blue moon there is a chance to collaborate with another artist
the synergy is as epic as a tantric experience
thank you Anna

Sometime ago I wrote on a model/photographer's forum how I missed the grain "Tri-x film" produces.
Immediately I was ridiculed by the young (and punk!) photographers: "we pay thousand of dollars for latest DSLR's to get less grain and noise..."
Well, here its!
The results from my first roll developed. And after over 20 something years, shot with a Nikon f3 (which is almost 30 years old and was my first pro camera ever) and some Tri-x film all manual
from my last session with model Chebo a few weeks back

a few years ago I did a series of portraits for submission to local magazines. this one is one of my fav.
considering how I would have edited a portrait like this now, find it interesting how my style has changed.
I am sure the social-economic situation has much to do with it .
